All-Woman Motorcycle Club Distributes Breast Milk To Help The New York Milk Bank

Breast milk is incredibly important for babies, but some mothers can’t produce it.

And sometimes, like when babies are premature, they may be in need of extra assistance. That’s where the New York Milk Bank comes in. This nonprofit organization collects and pasteurizes breast milk so that it can be donated to moms and babies.

The milk bank ran into a problem with distribution, however, but then another amazing organization stepped up to the plate.

The Sirens Women’s MC of NYC is a badass motorcycle club that braves the New York City traffic to get breast milk to the hospitals and families that need it most.

Jen Baquial, president of the club, told the New York Post that their club was started because most existing clubs don’t allow women to join.

The Sirens also hold annual benefits to raise money for the New York Milk Bank, collecting over $2,400 this year alone.
